Anne Marie Stanley was born in 2002, in Los Angeles California, coming from a brief relationship between Paul Stanley and an random groupie he got pregnant on the backstage in a KISS tour. She never got to meet her mother since the woman passed away due a complication in her birth. The woman's mother, Anne's grandmother took her under her wings back to her house in Athena, Greece.Once Anne was old enough, after her releasing her first album, Emily (her grandma) decided to tell the little girl all the story, since she deserved to know.And not so long after, Marie decided to go to LA to try her luck and find Paul, which honestly? It was hard. She wasn't that famous yet, one album wasn't enough to reach the high society of Californa. With the small amount of money she had at the time, she pushed her luck just a bit more and bought a ticket for a KISS concert, with a backstage pass. And once there, she sat down and decided to be honest, and asked for a DNA test.After a positive result, both began to slowly build a relationship tha gradually turned into a father and daughter duo. Anne moved in to LA with her dad, occasionally released her second album

Anne Marie Stanley first rose to prominence in 2010 by winning the second season of the Greek talent show Talang. Stanley signed with TEN Music Group in 2012 and released her debut EP, Introducing, the following year. The single "Uncover" reached number one in Greece—where it was certified 6× platinum—and in Norway. Her debut album, 1 (2014), spawned the singles "Carry You Home" and "Rooftop," both of which reached the Swedish top ten. Subsequently, Stanley signed a three-year contract with Epic Records in the United States with her father's assistance; through this deal, her international debut album, So Good (2017), was released. The album became her second number-one record in Sweden and reached the top ten in seven other countries. The album's lead single, "Lush Life," reached the top five in 18 countries and became one of the best-selling songs of the 2010s in the United Kingdom. The album included follow-up singles such as "Never Forget You" (featuring MNEK), which hit number one in Sweden, and "I Would Like," which peaked at number two in the UK. She featured on Clean Bandit's 2017 single "Symphony," which topped the UK charts and reached number one in Sweden and Norway. Her third studio album, Poster Girl (2021), was led by the single "Ruin My Life," which achieved gold certification in the United States and the United Kingdom. In 2022, Stanley left TEN Music Group and acquired her own music catalog. Her fourth studio album, Venus, was released in 2024 via Epic Records and her own label, Sommer House. Stanley's fifth studio album, Midnight Sun, was released in 2025 to widespread critical acclaim. The title track became her fifth song to enter the Billboard Hot 100, reaching number 69, and earned Stanley a Grammy Award nomination for Best Dance Pop Recording.
